Benefits of Quran Reading and Quran Recitation in Both World

Quran is the Book of Allah; it is not a common book but a divine book of God. It is a timeless speech of Allah, guiding but the life and death, and also about what will come after. Therefore it deserves a more careful study than any other book. So, being a Muslim, we should recite Quran daily with better understanding in order to improve our life and hereafter too. There is a great reward of understanding the Quran, also we must try to implement the teachings of Holy Quran in our daily lives. Similarly, Quran recitation  has its own benefits, rewards, and virtues too. Holy Prophet (PB.UH) said that: 

 “whoever recites ten verses in qiyaam, will not be recorded as one of the forgetful. Whoever recites a hundred verses in qiyaam, will be recorded as one of the devout, and whoever prays a thousand verses in qiyaam, will be recorded as one of the muqantreen.”

A person who puts extra effort to learn and recite the Holy Quran, for pleasing Allah Almighty, will get a double reward. We all should try to take out our time for Quran recitation. Because in this way Allah is pleased with us and we will get the double reward, in this world and world after death. In order to recite and understand the Quran one must know the real purpose behind the revelation of the Quran. The purpose of revelation mentioned in Quran in these words:

“ A blessed Book which We have revealed to you, that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.”

Rewards and Benefits of Quran Recitation:

There are multiple benefits of the Holy Quran reading:

● Recitation of Quran purifies the hearts of the Muslim. Allah Almighty says in Holy Quran :” O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the hearts and guidance and mercy for the believers.”

● The person who read the Holy Quran is the best of the people. Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) said: “ The best of you are the one who learn the Quran and teach it to others.”

● There is a 10 times reward on each utterance of the Quranic word.

● The Holy Quran does not just comprise of teachings about the past nations but also encloses life transforming instructions and guidelines from the Gracious Allah.

● Quran recitation can be made attractive and in doing so. It can initiate a chance of conversation with Allah Almighty.

● If you want to get a high rank in paradise then memorize and recite the Holy Quran effectively.  

● Being a Muslim, its our religious duty to recite the Holy Quran with understanding.
